BTW, could you try to copy Red Alert 2.exe to both Game.exe and RA2.exe and then try again?

Place this file in your game folder, it will break alt+tab though:

Or try placing this ddraw.dll file in your game folder, map previews in menu (NOT radar screen) will be borked though:

I think this is the original installer without auto SS. Still a blank screen after alt-tab though.
Is there a version like this for Yuri? This version worked on 8 for me.

Hello all, recently I installed Windows 8 and found Tiberian sun was unplayable, on searching the net I found a site called The Game engine, from this site I was able to get the game playable with no issues, here is a link to it, www.thegameengine.org/tiberian-sun/tiberian-sun-windows-8/ I hope this helps.

BAD LAG on ra2..
AMD Quad-Core Processor E2-6110 (1.50ghz)
AMD Radeon R2 Graphics
4GB ddr3 L memory
1000 gb hdd
I don't get why ra2 is lagging. I've ran in many different compatibility modes, ran as admin, changed color to 16bit, reset connection, changed ra2.exe 16bit... windows 8 is a crock of shit -.-

The E2-6110 is a low-end CPU..
Install W7.
Is it fairly simple? Just look it up and download windows 7 over the existing OS?

If you've tried everything in this topic, and also these...

and you don't want to dual-boot your Win 8/10 with an older 0S (Operating System - Win XP, Win Vista or Win 7), another thing you can try is to re-install your older OS in a virtual machine:
Download VMWare Workstation Player 12
(or click here for their homepage incase the above link has changed) - Go to Downloads -> Free Product Downloads.
- Free version - Sends ads to your email about their products, but you can always create another email. (this is a full version afaik)
- Purchased version - No ads in your mailbox, but costs a lot of money.
Requirements:
- 64-bit operating system
- Your old Windows XP, Vista, or Win 7 disk (or an image file of one of these)
VMWare Workstation Player allows you to install an OS within your current OS. So you can fire up Windows 7 while still running your Windows 10 for example, or boot up good old Windows 95 with Windows 8.1 still running in the background. But the catch is that you'll still need the OS that you want to install, and slower computers might experience some lag. I've only tried RA2 on my Winows 8.1 (with WinXP VM), but it should also work in Windows 10.
