Ive been finally able to play some ra2 on Windows 10. Sadly i cant play on Xwis server because there is no fix for it. But on the CnCnet server i can...im online right now if anyone wants to get down =)

win10 doesnt work on xwis server at all.
- If u use ddraw (w/ 1 file) the menu transition become too laggy
- if u use ddraw (w/ 4 files) the menu doesnt appear.
- if u execute game,exe or Red Alert 2 (instead ra2.exe) the game got laggy peformance when start.
So. CNC is the better option for this moment.

I've played on XWIS with Windows 10. It doesn't matter which server you play on. It's all about getting RA2 to run.

u almost correct.
Its about server because xwis use the menu ra2 to QM and CM. Otherwise CNC use the TS-DDRAW (ddraw.dll 1 file) and when the game start to directly to gameplay.
Menu transition laggy (w/ ddraw) is a huge issues that i try to figure out the fix most of the time.

Again, play via XWIS server w/ win10 is so annoying due that laggy on menu.

you should be set red alert 2 mode.
Several different was fixed like a harrier fire, building time from tanks. The only option still remain is unit infantry slight stronger than dogs.

Im playing in xwis with win10 without having any problems for now, and I'm not the only one.
and Ra2 mode is nothing alike Ra2.
Ok.
Explain ur solution because this issues are the most cause the new player give up this game nowdays.

And yes ive tried everything for hours to make ra2 work and nothing seems to work...but finally cncnet works.
You can play Ra2 lol...

Firsy make sure to update your video drivers, then lower your resolution to 1650 1050 if needed, and make sure to run game.exe and not ra2.exe
now that should work if you plan to play in xwis, if you want to play in gameranger, you will need a specific ddraw file, pm me and I'll send it to you.

Like a said. When u execute game.exe (instead ra2.exe) the game become laggy peformance (glitch and freeze transisiton sometimes). If u have a huge PC game it isnt a problem.
you just tell what i know too many month ago. not surprise.
