No G and Ctrl+shift?
playing habits: How do you play ra2?

2 keys almost nobody uses
Asign the command ''Veterancy selection'' to a key that will fit u, i use Y
U can do two things with this key. 1 u can select your promoted tanks, 2 u can count all of your tanks instantly ! Its usefull to count tanks before u go fight a tank battle.
Use the command '' Health selection'' with this key u can do 2 things: 1 u can heal all red health and orange health first on the depot 2. u can place all weaker tanks in the back of your group in the middle of the battle!
groups & numbers
In ava i use tanks on ctrl 1, ifv 2 , rockets 3, planes 4/9
Soviet i use tanks 1 , dogs 2, drones 3
I use shift control to select new units into the already existing group and then press ctrl 1 again
Also use alt to regroup my tanks and in tank battles because u can make all tanks look at a certain position in his formation and make all canons look at his tanks,
also u do not want to misklick on a dog while all your tanks fire at the dog instead of the enemy tanks...
Where do i focus on ingame?
Vs who am i playing? If i play vs mike for examble i count on getting rushed 
Use your enemies known weaknesses! Some are bad vs splitts or certain countrys like korea.
I look for weaknesses in my own defence and fix them every second!
My first tank will move towards the enemy base or a splitting position
I try to look at his bo and predict it so i can block it before its done or when its done i can deal with it!
Mindset:
Get into the right mindset before u start playing, if you are tired or frustrated u should not play at all!
Focus 100% u got to be sharp! , confidence, know that you will win no matter what!, be quick and aggresive, always take lead and play on max speed possible.
Ask yourself two questions: What did i do right? What should i do diffrently next time?
Have the strive to become beter, because most people only look at why they losed and almost always come up with a exuse or simply overlook the facts.
Using arrows?
I guess using arrows is useless on high resolutions since half the map is in you're screen, you always have perfect sight

This is a very helpful post to intermediate players, one thing I would like to add
If you want to take your game to the next level. Use f1-f4
For instance for choke points, on your miners(if u don't want to waste a team for your ref) and waypointed warfactory spots etc...
Nothing to disagree with in your post, except playing tired
I usually change playing style to how I'm feeling tho as far as gameplay goes

setting map bookmarks is useful particularly for when you have another base area or if you move your base
personally, i usually only use 1 bookmark/game and its I just move it between orefields/main base area so I can micro miners easily

I have never used bookmarks nor will i.
I have a strong knowledge for maps and dont believe it is necessary if i have volume (play with headphones) and am paying attention.if anything happens, i usually press space bar and it finds it straight away, beacon, miners attacked, unit lost etc etc

I never use sell or repair either, although when I'm vs Tim for example he repairs as soon as one tank hits his pills. Which is pretty useful when defending lol so I should really assign new keys but CBA lol

Lol I rarely use the hotkeys for sell and fix anymore, and other ones. So it's ok

i always use the K L for repair & sell and find it very useful / much quicker than clicking on them damn buttons haha

Yes not using hotkeys is a very bad habit,
A very good habit however is not hitting 0dollars

I'm with Adam. I really don't see bookmarks as essential at all, space works just fine. Obviously all other points are really good.
K+L = essential, for the exact reasons you said.

i changed the sell/repair keys to a and f i find it much easier to use than k and l

I still use standard hot keys k and l and if i changed them now i would be in trouble/ confuse the hell outta maself as i dnt usually think about stuff when doin it, its just habit / automatic reactions now

n+d to deploy mcv at start.
groups 1+2+3+4(tanks,fodder,splits) +7(miners) +0(engi to capture oils/airforces). (additionally 5+6+7+8 for planes when i play allieds)
L to sell.
q+w for buildings.
TT for unit selection.
ALT for squishing fodder.
thats it.
never use waypoints.
"target lines" disabled.
