A lot of modders on ppmsite know that the plane repair bug comes from half removed/implemented code in the game engine, thus it's a bug.
You are abusing that code, simple as that.
A lot of the time modders use these half implemented features/bugs to add new features into the game. Which can be 'buggy' at times, but that doesn't stop them from trying.
That's how we know. There are people currently hacking and decompiling game code on the ares project to add new features into the game code, go ask them.

I know what was intended and not intended because I was a modder before a player...

Regarding the use of the ALT key, page 30 of the RA2 Manual says:
"Forces a unit to drive/walk over an area or to run over a unit."
It doesn't say "land on or fly onto a structure".
But of course you can argue that the manual also doesn't say that it's against the rules to do so. This is one of those things (like way-point engi'ing) where only Olaf can decide weather it's bannable, ok to do, or leave it undecided for now.

I dont think you can compare it to waypoint engiing. That is a perfectly normal part of the game, albeit very lame?

Because otherwise it'd have shown the enter cursor, like it does when you try to repair a ship or tank. What makes it sound like a glitch? I would admit that fixing a plane on a naval shipyard doesn't make sense and should be considered a bug, but as for fixing a plane on a depot, it seems logical to me.

I could argue same thing about moving a tank onto a war factory though? It attacks the war factory but you don't see it showing an "attack" cursor. So, are you deeming fixing planes as bannable or not? I will follow the rules either way; I just want clarification.

No, it doesn't attack the war factory.
It does? Or you could say it is shooting at it so it can get to where it wants.

If it was fair play you could just way point an engineer into the flak/ifv and into enemy building without any actions taken in-between to make it functional.

I thought that is what you done anyway. I have never attempted to do it.

Exploitation of bugs . Bug exploitation is considered cheating in XCL. Note if you are losing a game and an error occurs that causes the game to be washed or a loss to the other player. You will be expected to give a win to the other player. Failure to so may result in you being investigated and reset.Where?

We were debating about whether or not it was a bug though.

One might argue that all bugs are bannable offences but are they really? I know there is an exploit that makes the game lag, and ive never heard this is against the rules, despite it being more usefull then the repair plane exploit.
And i dont agree that mason should give you a free-win for this... He is an honest player that deserves his win.
