I bought “Command and Conquer: The First Decade” and I am trying to play Red Alert 2 online and I am having difficulties.

From the main menu in Red Alert 2, I click on the "Internet" tab. Then I click on "Quick Match" tab. On the next menu bar, I cannot select "login," so I type in a nickname and password; then I click on "New Account." Next, I enter in my date of birth and email address and click "Continue." Then a window appears and says "requesting nick name." So I patiently wait, then it says "Status Unknown." I then click the "ok" button. Then in that same window it says, "Unable to connect with Westwood online, check your internet connection." Then I hit the "ok" button. Next, I automatically brought back to the date of birth page. My date of birth info is still there, so I click on the "continue" button again. No matter how many times I do this I get the same message. Although, once I click on the "continue" button, I can click on the "Network Status" button. Then I get a message saying "would you like to launch your web browser to visit this page?" I then click the "yes" button. Then my internet browser is sent to the website "http://networkstatus.westwood.com/" and my internet browser says "page cannot be found." I don't know what I should do to be able to play online. Any help would be appreciated. Also it should be noted that my internet connection is fine, and I tested it on many websites and I have registered Red Alert 2.
