You can't argue with people on here, they are all professionals and are never wrong unless they are 100% proven wrong lol.
That's one thing this community has taught me.
I know what you're saying tho, I've been saying it since 06with people saying I'm wrong but magically I always won dog battles :re:
Omfg they took the :re: smiley away Noooo!!

Well its easy to set up a scenario where you can prove its not only luck. Ive done quite abit of ra2/yr modding so i have a decent understand how the bite-attack works (dogs weapon). If you set up 2 dogs really close to eachother like this:

So one dog has its head pointed towards the other dogs belly as shown in my really poorly made illustration. In this scenario the dog that has its head pointed towards the other dogs belly will win like 99-100% of the dogfights assuming they start close to eachother. There are also less obvious tricks to dogfights.

However if someone claim dog fights is 100% skill then they are lying aswell, its more of a combination between skill and luck.

its always 50/50. Think about it harder.

Its not 50/50, it depends on angle and understand how the bite-attack works. So there is some skill involved.

about reso i dont find it a problem selecting drones, rockies or whatever with 1920x1080 since i can just drag a box around the unit or number it, you dont have to actually click it.

Personally i would think around 2500x1400reso or so would be optimal, any higher and it will be hard to see induviduall units+map rendering issues.

To be fair there are some tricks to dogfights. If you understand the "bite" attack mechanics and how the angle plays part in the out-come of the dog battle and you micro the dog well enough. You can increase your chance to win dog battles by a fairly large amouth. However you will still not win em all, its just to much "luck" involved. If the enemy is bad with his dogs thought i think u can win like 70-80% of the dog battles if you know what your doing though.

Its very common people boot couse the new player seems to be lacking skills. It makes sense because people want fair games and not 1v2, so get used to it untill you get good enough;P
