ok so the game will run when I use ra2.exe .. and I can play etc .. but it says 'extra maps not enabled'

when I use Red Alert 2 exe it will go to the blimp screen and lock up .. 

Got it running.. how do you get it to play in highest possible res? Seems like the one you pick in the settings is still very low.. seen people run it much higher?

So I got it to run by using the newest video driver (even though it said I already updated it, idk).  I bought a serial .. when I put the pass and nick in, it hangs on Connecting to XWIS?  Also.. is there a way to change the passwords for nicks?

1. Uninstall your current driver for your graphics card.

2. Download and install this driver : http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/77223/en-us

3. Disable auto update of drivers on Windows to prevent Windows from re-installing the new driver. (set to notify you of updates)

4. Report back.

5. Try a different driver if the above fails. : http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

 

 

Note : I picked the same driver release version that I'm using as it's working on my own PC without any issues, how ever the end results can vary with different hardware and software setups.

Nvidia seems to pack all of the new drivers into one package anyway so the card model shouldn't be an issue. By the way the driver linked at step 2 is for 32-bit Windows 8.1. You can use the link in step 5 to find an alternative if your operating system differs.
