So the only thing I do online with Yuri's Revenge is play a mod with a friend (Robot Storm). We can't get the LAN option to work, so we use the online method with xwis. It's always co-op against PC. However, the last time he was wanting to play said mod, it said my serial was banned for 10.3 years. We've been doing this for over a decade; I don't understand how my serial got banned. It's a legit serial number. The game was purchased. I have three guesses:
1) a mod typo'd putting in a serial number to ban someone else
2) a serial number generator happened to get mine and whoever used that number went online and triggered some automated thing to be like "wait a minute"??? Maybe?
3) I pressed online on accident once on YR with a modified Rules.ini file, and I suspect some automated system detected that and just banned the serial number outright.
