Hey guys,

I'm playing Red Alert 2 since it appeared in year 2000 (?) and still love it. Some years ago, when the RA2-Servers went offline, i switched to xwis and - as there still was a pretty large community - kept playing every night. Even when upgrading to Win7, i got it running, bit since some months (i Dont know what changed), it is not possible to connecto ther players to my game. I still can connect to other guys games but wnehever i try to make a game for myself, with every other player, it crashes. Means, the downloading / Starting bar appears, fills to the end and then, after some seconds, i'm in the game but the other player is not. (Sorry for my bad english ).

 

My system is as follows:

Win7

No firewall

I'm using VPN (tried with diabling it before starting, but even with VPN disabled, it does not work)

 

Does anyone have an idea what could cause the trouble ? Would be really really great!

hey m8- sounds like the other person is not connecting- if I remember correctly this problem may be solved by setting the compatibility mode for ra2.exe or redalert2.exe,

 

should be xp sp3 and run as admin
