Anyone had this not been on for a few days and nothing changed on PC?

To anyone interested: some anti-virus programs see XWIS.DLL as a threat. I believe it was a "trojan", but I'm not sure.

 

Case-in-point: it's your anti-virus being a tad too sensitive. xwis.dll is a "false positive" the same way Syringe.exe and Ares.dll are also false positives.

You can fix it by excluding your XWIS/games folder(s) from its scans/protections.

 

If your anti-virus doesn't support that option, then uninstall it and go for Comodo instead. Or Avira. Or something...

 

Once your XWIS installation is excluded from anti-virus scans, reinstall XWIS. Or ask the admins here to put it on a thread and pin that thread. Maybe this one too so people don't end up asking the same question over and over.
