where do donations made to xwis go?

so i'd like to ask how my money would be used towards the donation of xwis, we it be split amongst all forum admins, or go straight into the pocket of olaf (cuz he wouldn't get my money with his actions lately)Donations have been used to renew domains and to pay for a XWIS logo design. They've not been used for anything else, they're not used to pay staff (including me), they're not used for updating HoFs and I don't think they've been used to promote tournaments. would it be used to promote some tournament that is a free game from EA?

Since the donations haven't been used for anything specific yet would you like some ideas on what to use them for?
Im going to take a wild guess at this one and say most of its been said already and disregarded unfortunately

How about you just donate as a token of appreciation for all the work that went into XWIS instead of asking "where does the money go"?!
Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? Olaf deserves every single cent of the donated money (and much more). Although there have been many individuals who partook in improving XWIS, none of them even come close to Olaf's dedication and hard work. Have you ever considered that maybe these small donations and a rare "thank you" is what motivates Olaf to continue working on making XWIS better?
Besides, are all of you ever satisfied? Do you understand that it's not Olaf's job to make XGS, AutoSS Uploader, map changes and fix any issues that constantly arise? Do you have any idea on how much work goes into all this?
Lastly, did Olaf ever ask for donations?! Just keep your money in your pocket if you don't feel like giving something back.

I can relate to this. I've played the game for such a long time and had great fun with it that this year I felt like sending a few bucks as a donation. If I was worried about how it would be spent or what new things would be done for "my" playing experience it wouldn't be a donation 
If you are worried that Olaf would buy a four sixpacks of beer, get drunk and engi eat you then don't donate. I paypal'd because I felt giving something back to the community I've been part of for years. That's why the button is there.

if it's a donation system, we have a right to know where the money is being used
if olaf came out and said "hey how about throwing me a few bucks for all the work i've done" it's be different and i'd expect nothing more than him using the money however he wants, but as a donation, it's a different story
however to bring to light, our donations haven't amounted to much of anything yet, as i learned a lot of new things that are never shared with this community.
appericate what olaf has done of course i do, and have never been shy to let him know, but i'm also not very shy to voice my opinion and ask questions, it's always better to know what is going on.

Yeah it's not a big deal to ask. The big deal is to make a witch hunt all of the sudden about it because its the "lets be part of the bandwagon and annoy" thing to do.

I will give you the AUTOss features, and the upcoming Xwis.us as well as the FB pages etc that boost activity.
However, 90% of that list is useless stuff - (all the XCC utilities) I mean it may provide some people with an extra bonus but its not something "needed".
I thought EA kept the servers up and running? XWIS just "manage" them. XWISadmin is beneficial I guess, minus the ridiculous chat bans.
The whole CP system needs to be reimagined, as well as the HOF updated regularly.

A game only really needs these things:
A SERVER
Cheat Moderators/Anti Cheat team.
Replay System or at the very least the auto ss.
UPDATED LADDERS AND HOF. (VERY IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU ARE HAVING PEOPLE PAY FOR SERIALS TO PLAY ON THE LADDER. 6 years of missing TS HOF? ---- VERY SAD)
A PROPER CP PANEL and SERIAL SYSTEM (NOT WHAT EXISTS NOW, HORRIBLE)
Perhaps a forum/message board to help with help topics and game support/technical questions etc. and for cheat topics.
Everything else is just a bonus and not necessary.
It would also be nice to have an admin that wasnt on a constant power trip. Doesnt he notice nobody appreciates it ? I mean its no popularity contest but everywhere I look I see people getting irritated by Olafs antics.

Speaking of on topic Olaf, maybe you could answer Marsh's original post as to where the money is going. At this stage nothing real clear has come out. Your admin have attempted to answer but have only made it more convoluted. Bluebla has it paying for the server (post 2), Neogrant has provided some insight but said money hasnt been used for anything except a hiring a designer. (contradicting bluebla) Savagetnk didnt add anything except backing an opinion of donatiing blindly and dont dare ask where the money goes. Seannz also hasnt answered a thing as far as where the money goes. Neogrant states that no donations are hidden from xwis or strike team but going by your answers its hard to draw this conclusion.
If someone knocks on your door at home and asked for a donation and then doesnt answer what it is going for would you just give money out blindly?
donations are going to olaf@xwis.net. Can olaf@xwis.net have the decency to explain what he is doing with the donations. At this stage after reading this post no way would i be giving money out blindly
