Hey guys,

I just bought a new laptop (windows 7) and installed ra2, but still after all the instructions it doesnt work.

When i start ra2 it loads normally, but turns to a black screen after. I can click on stuff but it just wont show anyting.

When i alt-tab i see the screen where i was, but it remains like that and when i click something else it just turns black again.

Anyone knows whats up? our if there is already another topic about this?

Thx alot!

have u used the download version from this website?

Install ra2.0.0.0 from this site then install ra2.0.0.2

Run ra2 in compatibility mode for windows xp sp3, also run as admin.

if its the downloaded version and u get a black screen its because its downloading the new maps, just wait that out. if nothing still happens after that id start looknig at hardware acceleration.

Either way get it fixed thomas noob and hit me up for some games :p

Go to the ra2 folder, then right click the game.exe file and go to properties. go to compatibility and then click run this program in compatibility mode for windows 98/ windows me.

Also, make sure to run the game as administrator by right clicking the game.exe in the ra2 folder and clicking " run as administrator"

Thats how it works for me on Win7

This is the ra2 file i downloaded: http://xwis.net/forums/index.php/files/

My Win7 HP laptop does the same thing if I don't have it plugged into a power source.

Possibly changing the power options to high performance might be the solution there too.
