Its a mod, not a patch.
Very good, time for the next step ok?

;
How come all 3 wouldnt have done any good anyway?

i dont see any change in the next 3 candidates either, if any of them r elected the US is going to go into a recession, all 3 are pro big government people, and thats not what the US needs right now.

and the al gore and john kerry point doesnt need explanation

Mount is a pretty decent map, it was even in qm for a while.. the bad point about mount is that its just not to balanced enough economically wise, and its sov flavoured.

Yeah it's an okay map, but balance is ridiculous: BL gets double the Ore everyone else does.

But it creates so many problems. No bail time is not perfect, but it's the lesser of two evils.

Thats a matter of view imo, because when people would bail a map, it could also be that the fault lies within the system, as the system pops up with that map.
(dont take this to litterly though.. bailing is pretty dumb imo, since when you play for a gg you would only bail REAL **** maps like sov v sov alaskan oil spil with no super weapons^^)

I actually this is a great idea. ST should ban America and Iraq for a month.

Well theres ur answer why the first 3 candidates wouldnt do any better than bush either...

i would say the most balanced 2v2 map is HECK for sure others mostly give some spots a slight advantage

CS(tvb sucks)
DMZ(right side owns left side)
HandS(too much campage)

Thats the cm map list and you know it.

I like to cm on paris, sp, golden state but ppl just end cying for heck and call the maps retarded :(

name the "good" ra2 2v2 maps for me please, you wouldnt understand your not at a level of play yet to see that theres a limited number of 2v2 maps that r worth playin on ra2

also the 1.7 ffg's that im playin with are good players so its basically like clan matches so in theory its the same thing.

rofl, u just keep making me laugh omfg, i am not amongst the top players but sorry to say neighter are u but it is irrelevant to see what this is really about..

The ra2 clanning system isn't even trying( sorry to say ppl ) because it has always been heck and it will stay that way(because its a save base), have u even read what people have said ( Joku for example )

There is always something, there is always an excuse to drop everything and revert back to the best map

Just because people ar more willing in ffgs to change maps (which is basically the same on 1.006 ) doesn't mean when it comes to THE LADDDER that people will actually play them..

Good maps:

SP
SV
DMZ
CS
Heck
Defcon
Malibu

And there are a few others but they are just neglected.. for all obvious reasons which you choose to ignore..

didnt realize extreme camp games on cs tvb and selling ur con after 2 or 3 miners on cs lvr made it a good map, hmmm dmz same deal either huge camp game or u sell, hmm defcon same deal sell, malibu, right good joke, snoy valley decent map just buggy, sp good map wow u included 2 decent maps good job

the fact is there are maps i would say are as fun as heck in 1.,007 for example valley of gems which is on yr i believe and coldest peek

oh and ya ur not a top player

You dont have to sell on Defcon OR DMZ if you dont want too, CS LvR is sell but can still be good fun against the right people. And malibu is an awesome 2v2 map. Just not played.

Just to give my opinion on the patching issue...

Ideally if EA said they would definitely support a patch the best thing they could do was temporarily put 1.007 on the server for 2 or 3 months as a kind of beta test (like Blizzard, Relic and probably few other companies have done with major patches). All you need is plenty of spam in the lobbies from XWIS bots pointing out it's a beta and where you need to go to give feedback and stuff, just so everyone knows what's happening.

This way every one gets to play and test for a little while and give informed opinions at the end of the testing period. Like Joku says a vote would only work if everyone was aware of exactly what they were dealing with. Some people who don't like the idea of 1.007 might come to like it, and equally some will probably hate it. But a couple of months gives everyone a chance to test it properly; no knee-jerk reactions like "OMG derricks walled WTF ghey!" - everyone has at least a reasonably informed opinion.

After the beta period is over people can then give really useful feedback. Maybe they want 1.006 back, maybe they want 1.007 to stay the proper version. More likely I think is that people will want a bit of both, and the patch that becomes "official" (let's call it 1.008) would represent that. After all 1.007 is just one proposal, and it's very much my view of how the game should be. I'm not stupid enough to think that means it's perfect, in fact far from it, but I think it's a good reference point. With everyone experiencing both 1.006 and 1.007 for a decent period of time we could probably create the ultimate version of the game. My hope is that ultimate would be a lot like the existing 1.007, but of course I'm prepared to be wrong.

As for what that means for the game, who knows? I suspect it would be like when XWIS was made the official server: there would initially be a big boost in server activity. Whether it would last is another thing. Maybe it will, after all a new patch is arguably a more substantial change than switching servers.

Seriously do you think its possible to ram a fork in this guy's head, i don't think its possible.. so what are good games nowadays?

People sell MCV on heck, they do it basically on any map because they wanna win that bad... the same thing will happen in 1.007.. like i said its the PLAYERS..

Maps can be fun but are they also "balanced" because then that issue will be brought up again..

and believe me there are alot of balanced maps on ra2 but people just want Heck because its save and the most skilled map..

the problem is on your end, just because people may be beating you by selling their mcv early doesn't mean it's better, not selling your mcv is far more advantageous the majority of the time. it's even less of an issue with 1.007 considering that there's a lot more balance within the map selection.

I didn't say selling mcv was better? i said it is done because people want to win that bad.. keeping your mcv is more beneficial but that depends on the map and the player that u have infront of you thats why i have been saying?

It wasn't me who said that rhinos pwn allied easy on heck when people sell mcv.. i know its a lesser issue on 1.007, i even agreed with that..

but what about the map selection thats the only thing i am pointing out people will just ignore it because they love heck that much.. thats why there is almost no variety on 1.006 because people only care for winning and they know heck is there best chance to do it on

do you mean people will ignore it if 1.007 was implemented? the only reason everyone plays heck now (which has been said god knows how many times anyway) is because it's the only well balanced 2v2 map which actually requires a certain amount of skill to win.

Hmm, well why do people cheat? maybe because they fear to lose to a better player? why wait and die when u can have a small chance and win when u sell to gain a little bit of an advantage if used proper?

i guess you could say they don't believe it is when u use it proper :s

yah^^

anyways I'm shocked that there's an overwhelming majority FOR the patch... So really, there is no harm in a 2-3 month trial period.
Now to start spamming EA.
