I know many of you are glad of it, rid of that nasty nico. The beast of ST!

But i have a problem concerning Ra2. I can't play it ne more nor install it. Uninstalling is neither possible.

I have made some screenshots of what happens when i start up Red Alert, in any way.

They wont load for some reason, well i just explain it to you straight then:

When i want to uninstall it this happens.

"Red Alert 2 Uninstall Program

Canot find Game Directory"

When i want to play Ra2 this happens

"Launcher config file missing

You must run the game from its install directory"

I hope someone can help me out on this freaking puzzle.

Thanks in advance.

Manually delete the RA2 folder and all entries for RA2 in the register (if no other C&C games are installed then delete the Westwood folder and all Westwood entries in the register) Then reinstall.

I was playing Tiberian Sun, the single missions. That game does work as other's do aswell.

Only Red Alert is failing, i deleted the (all) red alert files i could find under C: (after asking the search function with subject Red Alert) , but that didnt help.

It seems that somehow some files for the game have been deleted or someones deleted them from your computer

go to

c:/westwood

and delete this.

Reinstall with your Soviet or Allies disk then you should be able to get back online.

hope this helps

did u deleted the registry-entries of westwood/ra2 too? (uninstall ts before)

sometimes it helps when u make a shortcut to the installer and select the compatibility-mode (win 98 for e.g. was usefull on my brothers pc) in the file-properties

thats how my old computer was, i went to C:/westwood. deleted all the files, (even the westwood)

and go to my computer > add remove programs > and delete command and conquer: ra2 > now a reinstall.

hope it helps, it worked on mine
