I think you should encourage people to stay in the same line of thought as the post. Only the idea that the person has posted should be spoken about - no straying off into side topics that someone feels the urge to do (a new topic should be made for that). I think that this would make the forums more user friendly and more interesting, instead of a **** load of information all mixed up and jumbled together with spam

Well that is the case, no spam is allowed in the reports forums, and in any important topics the 'off-topic' stuff is split and made into another topic. But it wouldn't be a fun forum if there wasn't spam and off topic stuff in other topics, you know wa I'm sayin???
