You quoted the second definition. That is unique in that it seems to be an incorrect definition, look at the first and third. Clearly by the sound of the word you can deduce it came from the word "new" meaning someone is new and inexperienced. Hence why it is so popular with online gaming and chat speak.

So I looked up the word and I am still right.


Your argument is based on the anomaly of the definition, did you really think that you are right?
