im wondering would it be possile to recognise the wol rank of a player up against an xcc player? because at the moment xcc players have a choice of setting mf on narrow and then wait forever to get a game or setting mf on wide (or worse disable it) then having to play 50000000 games for a handful of points at the risk of loseing 40 or 50 points for just one loss from a player who could be ranked highly on wol rank. i realise eventually this problem wont exist but at the moment its driving me nuts

If you mean being able to see the WOL rank of a player when you match them, then you can simpy untick the 'Community Ladder (XCL)' option in MF by going Edit > Filter

i think i understand him,he also wants his rank on wol,so if there is a good play in q\m but does not use mf then he risks losing loads of points on xcl or he gets few points on mf.

no no no what i mean is recognise it for awarding and losing points to players on the xcl ladder. what im trying to say is i think its silly that an xcc player can lose 40 or 50 points to a player that has the same wol rank as his or herself. then on the other hand they can only win 6 7 or 8 points if they win

yer your close but what im trying to say is the wol ranking should influience the points awarded or lost on xcl. i dont care really about wol ranking but i was just wondering if it could be calculated into xcl to make it fairer. the reason why is its so hard getting a game after you reached 400 points unless you disable mf and run the risk of loseing heaps of points to a player that is just as good or better. then on the other hand if you win you get just a few measly points

This unfortunatley the draw back of having to play ppl that are essentialy on a different ladder system, or wait a long time toi play a game against ONLY ppl on your ladder.
This was discussed at the very beginning of XCL and decided to be counter-productive to what XCL is achieving.
If we were to do what you suggest there is no need for XCL ladder
all u actually would need to do is recreate WWL and delete the cheaters - as your suggestion is simply WWL minus cheaters.

We do fully sympathise with this issue 100% but its one of those things that will be resolved by XWIS - which is getting closer every day so once again just be patient with XCL - its gonna pay off soon

yeah i see your point completely. ok time for plan B ( lol) howabout a blanket point system when we are matched up against non xcl players? its very simple if u play any non xcl player why not make it 5 or 10 points win or lose ( il leave th exact amount of points to you ) or something to that effect.

then u could just newbie bash and get more than 1 point for a win when u r rank 1 :lol:

If u have been with XCL since the beginning u have done the long haul now - we are almost at XWIS - no point in making that kind of change now.
