Hello. I'm having a problem again. :( I installed The First Decade 1.03 revision 2 patch. I know, it's not official, but everyone praised it so much... It helped me with C&C95, but now I can't play RA2! I mean, I'm choosing custom match, creating a game, my friend joins in, then we starting the game. There is a loading screen as always, and both of us see the loading progress. But after loading completes, the host sees the black screen for a while, and the client sees the beginning of the game, but he can't do anything, and then "waiting for players" screen appears. Then the host sees the beginning too, but his screen freezes, and everything is the same. So, the question is - that is something about this patch, or the problem is something else?

Hi James44,

I had exactly the same problem. It can be caused by mph.exe not beïng able to connect to the other players (firewall) or by the RA2 LAN patch that comes with 1.03.

Fix it:
1. Go to your RA2 folder. (mine: D:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert™ II\RA2)
2. You'll find wsock32.dll here.
3a. If you never play over local network, you can delete this file, otherwise:
3b. Move wsock32.dll, so it's no longer in your RA2 map. This way you'll be able to place it back in your RA2 folder when you're going to play on LAN.
4. Host and have fun.

Please let me know if this fixed your problem.
