Hi, Well im trying to copy a file aplication from one folder to another on my laptop which has vista :( and when i do it comes up with this message from windows security warning.. "Windows found that potentially harmful." "To help protect your computer, windows has blocked access to this folder." and all i can click is ok and it goes away anyone know how i turn this off ive been through pretty much everything in control panel and nothing seems to work :(

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Don't reformat.. ignore Grant.. see if there is a program online to unlock folders. I had a similar problem on vista on my laptop, but that was deleting a folder.

Have you set yourself to be the admin of the computer? Maybe that's what's blocking it.

or maybe another program is already in use, or you have had something in that folder previously .. and it was harmful to your computer.

All i can say is.. create a new folder copy everything over to the new folder and set the old folder to hidden, then it would look like the folder has dissapered
