Has anyone tried this download with Win8 and have any success with it?

I know there has been several posts of problems with Ra2 and Win7, but none of them seem to be close to my problem.

Just purchased new laptop with Win7 and an i3 cpu, installed TFD that I have used for the past 2 years on old laptop with Vista.

When I start Ra2, it goes to the Main Menu Page. But when I click on any of the options (single player, online, etc) I hear the "whoosh" sound it makes when it is suppose to change to the next page, but the page doesn't change. The writing on the page goes away (single player, online, etc) but it does not proceed to the next page. The only way I can get it to go to the next page is to hit the "Windows" button (go back to the desktop), then when I come back to Ra2 it has proceeded to the next page. I can do this all the way to the Nickname and Password page, but it will not let me type a nickname or password in.

I tried running as adminstrator, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, I tried running in all the compatibilty modes (XP, Vista, etc), and I tried running Win7's "Compatibility Troubleshooter" none of this made any difference.

A video of it would probably be easier than explaining it, but I don't have one .

In the end I got frustrated and just uninstalled the game.

Any ideas? Not in a hurry, but your help is appreciated greatly!

Once again parrotboy washes, he went for a base trade =(. He had one power plant left, I still had a mobile construction yard that he was no where near and probably didn't have a clue where it was, then he dc then comes back then dc's again causing the wash.
