Eat is considered lame because it gives one player a huge early advantage based on the usual 50% outcome of a dog fight. Of course there are many situations where it is not a 50% chance and skill comes into play but the times it is purely luck are frustrating and do not help rank players based on skill. I think eat is the only part of the game that should be removed or at least altered by player rules, engineer rush and alt are not luck based tactics so when they own you it is your own fault.

This thread is starting to look productive. I hope we can get some new Chinese players and at least fix the forum issues soon, there is no reason for people to quit just help increase the activity. I look forward to playing again starting this weekend for about a month.

Ah if its ra2 desos are a bit weaker anyway so you wont need seal ifvs. just make more dogs as fodder instead of gis and use air + pills to defend while you build up.

I have an idea that would fix a lot of these problems without much effort.
Olaf has no help team at all, yet does not want to give power to those who "aren't qualified."

What we should have is an application process to constantly add new admins or whatever position is necessary, this would allow S-T to keep a consistent size and stop the insane back-ups like we have now.

This would be VERY EASY to do. Olaf would have to take 20 minutes or so to think about what qualifications are important (less time than he spends replying to this thread), and write up a simple list of questions to post on forums. Anyone who is interested could post in private or PM the required things, and Olaf could spend some time picking the best candidates for whatever needs to get done. It would be easy to eliminate unqualified people within 30 seconds of reading an app, and for the final choice it still wouldn't be very time consuming. Of course this is still extra work for Olaf but I feel it would take far less effort than the other things Olaf does while providing much better results and saving this game. Yeah you can say we need qualified people as much as you want but this process lets you screen anyone in seconds and if you don't give anyone a chance we won't have anyone helping. No one helping is not working.
