-strectch to gems first
-block opponents between the cliffs whenever possible
-garrison piramides; if he doesn't, garrison his
My BO:
PP, rax (stretch to gems and hold a sentry ready), ref (place next to gems), WF (One drone and straight tanks; don't bother to make a miner from WF cause gems give enough income for now; attempt to drone his miner and place that sentry down quickly when needed), ref (next to gems and sell it), WF (stretch to second gem patch),PP (stretch to next gem patch) ref (place that one near the ore field), radar (stretch to gems), PP (stretch to gems), ref (next to gem patch), WF, WF, PP (if needed), battle lab, nuclear plant (sell all other PPs), ref (next to ore patch), IC.
from there, you stretch further to other ore patches or use MCV move.
I hope I helped ya .

You're going to be poor. And that also means no fodder.

Not with the gems. I did that BO alot and with miner control, it really really works .
If you need fodder, you can always put your buildings on hold and make fodder instead, but I don't think it will be needed. 2 miners on gems are equal to 4 miners on ore. Take that advantage early game to think first mainly on tank production and then later on at economy .
