When i try to patch the game like auto or by internet it would just stay sau\ying connecting. Well i downloaded the latest patch for ts and when i installed it it says it was done and said 2.03 v at the bottom right which i know is right. but when i try to go and play on the internet it still wants me to upgrade then i click yes but it says this.

thing is all i did was patch it and i have no trainers.

yea ive tried repeatly to fix it but gave up. ininstall game reg keys folders the whole shabang. are there any ports i need to open for my routher and stuff?

Hi!
I tryed the link above without any luck.
I have the same problem as the creator of this thread.
I patched TS by downloading the patch from some page.

But i TS still wants to dowload patch.
I have opened every port both udp and tcp in my firewall from the link above.
And also allowed entire TS in the firewall.

So you guys got any other ideas to the problem?
I bought this game many years ago when it was realesed and i have never played it online. And now i want to play with some friend just for the fun of it but get cant get it to work.

My problem randomly stopped the other day... I'm not sure why, but my Renegade problems stopped too.

i had that 2 cause of broken regestrie keys

best is 2 deinstall and go in regedit and delete all entries

then reinstall,manually update thruogh the westwood ftp and it should work

Those registrys you are talking about?
You mean from an old installation of TS?
If that's the case i know thats not the problem cause the computer is completely clean since i had a harddrive crash about 2 weeks ago.

Anyway what registrys should i delete? Have to try anything to get it to work.

Edit* Could i get a link for westwood ftp?

Edit2* Never mind. Google is your friend like they say
Also i did a re-install and deleted all westwood stuff i could find in regedit (Before i did the re-install ofcourse).
But still get the same thing.

Are the main executables for Tiberian Sun allowed thru on your Windows Firewall (Exceptions Tab)?

c:\westwood\sun\game.icd

I fixed the problem by downloading the tool to switch to xwis and set it to xwis works fine now
