Good idea. I always want a Conscript war.. reminds me of the good ol' tech level 1 maps in TS. You can't build anything but Infantry and Harvs... man those Harvs ruled.

If anything I'll play those tournys.

and do 2v2 ffg's and do a points system like football world cup groups

Well map names, number of players, ffg examples where applicable are helpful. Imagine that you have to run the tournament, what details would you need to run it?

My idea would to find the best players from each country, e.g USA -  4 players

UK - 4 players etc

and do 2v2 ffg's and do a points system like football world cup groups

This idea was done for CNC10. It was a good idea, but the tournament ideas in this thread should cater to the occasional player.

the ladder is always dominated by the same players! Y do u think this will be different?

there are 3 different skill levels.....

1 for best players
1 for advanced players
1 for the beginers/learning players....

no one will join the nooby tourney that is a domin8 player if people on forum help out and id you have an observer in games like a volunteer you can disqualify someone or move them to a better bracket....

I think there should be a draw option on tornys so if ur both left with like a harv and short game is not on or something...

A C&C Worldcup for clans of TS, RA2 and YR would be nice at the current time I think
You could base it on the same system that is being used in bobsleigh tournaments,
with multiple nation teams such as [USA1] [USA2] [USA3] [NED1] [NED2] [ENG1] [ENG2] etc.
taking the above list as an example; team USA1 would have the best US players and team USA3 the worst

I think that would be a good kickoff for the clanladders after the WOL > XWIS redirect
Also would it finally show us which country is delivering the best C&C talents

well your tournys are really fun.
but finally these tournys are finishd under 45 mins, if 8 ppl plays.

i would like to see a tourny which goes longer ( week or so ) and your not out of the tourny if u lost one game.
im sure this needs work but over christmas i am sure it will push activity.

Lets Host a month long OLDSKL VS NEWSCHOOL 2v2 CLAN.


The concept of the tournemnt is pretty simple. We hear from newschool players that players back in the days were good but not as good as some newschool players are now. There are nowadays more tactics, better bo's and better players? And oldskl players say back in the days there was way more competition and getting top 20 wasnt easy at all. These conversations u hear pretty often. So how about we decide this by holding this tournement.


Qualification for the oldskl group. Since there are not many players left from wayback I would say from 2005 and before u are qualified. ( proof is a nick created by u, or a clan created by u or ur S-T nickname from before 2005) Oldskl player cannot join newschool group, if ur from before 2005 and u participate u are in oldskl group.

Qualification for the newschool group will be 2005 and after.

Rules:

2v2 Only
Any 2v2 maps allowed.
When there are 2 players online at the same time, bailing is not allowed even if you don't know your parthner or you think he isn't good enough. If you choose to be afk change nick so the other group know u cannot play at that time.
No flaming or bad names calling. A little competition must stay fun for all!
Every player who participate must play atleast 3 games in 1 week! So we don't have players who only come play in the last week.
Post ScreenShot if u are asked. Don't ask a SS without any reason this will kill the trust and vibe. Ask only when it's really suspicous.
Refuse 1 time ss is a warning. Second time is bann from tournement and community note u as suspicious in the future. We all love fair play right.


I think this can be alot of fun. Admins can decide wether they put a prize or make a special post for this tournemnt so we reach more players? Or if anyone is interested in hosting this tournement would be nice.
If anyone think there is a extra rule needed or something that will increase the gamepleasure plz post a comment

And ppl can join by posting the nick they want to join the clan and the proof he is newschool or oldskl.

We also need a Leader for each clan. I think this is best to decide when we have more regristrations. Then each Clan decide for their own leader. Leader must be availble most of the month, good with people no bad temper and have sportmanship!

wow dennis great idea man. I would love to play this tournament ill sign up as oldskool since i play since start of game and played on wol.

Although this s-t nick is from 05 people know im oldsool
