I have played ra2 on xwis for a while and I really miss getting to play meaningful 2v2 games. I beleive i have an idea.
What if there were only 2 clans? Or 4? That way if there were twenty or so players online thered be a very high chance of games.
Players could ve voted in as clan leaders for each side (or each of the four) and re elected in a quarterly process or every six months.
I think there are more than enough players to make clans viable again if there were a limited number of clubs. (My vote is two clubs with elected leaders)

I would like to do some 2v2 clan games. I don't think we can just have everyone go into 2 different teams. If you have a teammate I can probably get one also and we could play some games, want to try that?

Id like to join a clan though a 2 clan system is my opinion the only way to fully utilize clans with a limited used server

Why it would be more active if anyone is forced to be in only one of 2 / 4 clans than now? If someone isnt playing cm right now I am sure he wouldnt play when there are only 2 clans anyway (its just name of a clan and nothing else because there is no difference u play vs clan A or vs Clan B , C and D).

Because there are usually about 20 people online and never are there two from two individual clans online.
If there were two clubs, and all those who are interested in clan matches joined one of them, there would by theory be a much higher change of 2v2 ranked happening.

But people are not playing not because they are on diff clans (u can always invite or join clans if this was the case). U say 20 online: so 7 afk, 5 playing mod maps / mount olympus, 5qming (including 120 points players who dont know what is cm and dont feel they want to play any 2x2) and last 3 (including u) not afk who have hard time organizing 2v2s (or sometimes they just play 2x2 ffgs where u might get good games also).
