When I played years ago QM would auto pop up when i got matched ra2 would open so i could alt tab and do other things on my PC while waiting. Well how to I fix this?

Is there a reason for why you're running in windowed mode? Are you on Windows 8 or 10? Otherwise I don't really see why you're running windowed.

The only reason it's in windows mode right now is because I was trying to find a way to get it where i could use desktop and see if I matched in qm or not... Problem with that is if i click off to desktop it freezes ra2 untill i reclick on ra2 screen so windows mode didn't help me any. That is the only reason and I can now switch it back, I've just been lazy. Also wondering how did you know my ra2 is in windows mode right now? lol

I know it all, Cory, I know it all. Been helping RA2 players almost every day with whatever I can ever since I can remember.

As you've noted, RA2/YR doesn't redraw at all when it's not the active window.

You should remove the -win from the properties of your RA2 shortcut.

I believe the patch uses SW_RESTORE, which I believe is more suitable for genuine minimized (IsIconic) windows rather than something like SetForegroundWindow.

Well it wasn't working before that's the only reason its in -win mode. any other ideas?

What wasn't working before? It typically works about 8 out of 10 times.

Ok now i am running ra2 in full sceen. Now when I match someone or just alt tab and then go back to ra2 the screen is black, all the bottons and sound work but screen is black.

why ever wait 30 mins for a qm, just make a game and check online list....problem solved.

It's easier for me to just go QM and alt tab and watch a movie or work and whenever I match in QM boom it pops up and I get a ra2 QM.
