Olaf can u explain to me why i only have problems on xwis ?

I tryed to play a game vs marsh on xwis and  it failed 3 times.

I went to GR and it worked perfectly (same red alert 2,the xwis version) ?

This shows it has nothing to do with nivdea card .... or my red alert 2 or my computer or settings ?

XWIS version works fine on other PCs.

Seriously, that kind of logic just doesn't work. We know nV driver versions affect RA2.

You also failed to post exactly what fails for you. Is it connecting to others, is it performance?

If this problem is not resolved it will be really a pity for xwis because many players who are active can no longer

connection indd,it goes to loading screen,then get blackscreen then get back to loading screen and so on and on(loads very slow).Choppy gameplay

Yesterday i tryed a game vs marko and it was just fine.

When i get this problem on xwis and i move to GR i need to restart computer,coz what ever happend effected GR 2.

Then i go to GR and it works good.

When its a driver problem why dont i have this problem on GR ?

if u like i can stream and login in xwis ?

GR is a LAN emulator, so it's unaffected by firewalls and routers..

Well ill try to turn off firewall first<-- this didnt help

It's firewall and router.. what router are you using? Are you able to run it in bridge mode to test?

Heb net gebeld met ziggo en deze zeggen dat er niks veranderd is en dat het toch echt aan de server moet leggen.

En als je me wil helpen met dit soort dingen(bridge mode to test) zal je me stap voor stap meoten uitleggen wat ik moet doen.

Ziggo heb een hard reset voor me gedaan en ik ga zo weer proberen.

Heeft niets geholpen

Ik heb net een nieuwe ra2 op me XP harde schijf gezet en precies hetzelfde probleem.

Reinstalled and now it worked 1 game and lets see if stay this way.

When i play on GR does it change anything to ra2 xwis ?folder?

 

 

Can the setting :videobackbuffer=no ,cause lag ?

Well very strange,i installed red alert 2 for the 8 time,closed all program's and it's working now.

Only this time i didnt fill the videobackbuffer line in ra2.ini and it worked.

With nivdea olaf

1 more thing i changed was the performance of my computer i putted it on high

Hi showtime can you explain more clearly the manipulation that you made so that now ra2 works? Thank you

delete ur ra2 everything.

Close everything.(no other programs running)

Download the xwis version.

Don't change anything.(ra2.ini)

And start.

I have win 7 pro and the compatility=win 7.

This worked for me

 

 

What i just found out is that when i have run other program's GR or CNC i need to restart computer and then with a clean start run RA2(xwis),else i having problems 2

I just don't get why you're expecting me to solve all *your* problems.
Yes, the game has trouble with NAT and 'weird' internet connections, but it works ok for a lot of people.
Yes, LAN emulation software like GR etc avoids those issues.
No, that doesn't mean it's caused by XWIS.
Yes, the game has trouble with Windows 10, 8 and sometimes 7.
No, that doesn't mean it's XWIS' fault..

I deleted ra2 and my westwood online component at deleting software.

Now i reinstaled but i dont see the westwood online component in my list of program's(software) i installed ?

Dont i need this file ?

 

Ok im trying to open firewall ports, what port do i need to allow my firewall to play ra2 ?

got a old version of ra2 and it works :s

by this version i get time out again in qm and i dont know of the auto ss works on this 1\

 

Did open a port :1234 and there Both open ill try later if the new ra2 version works 2 with these ports being opened

 

Never mind it worked for 2 games now i have same problem again

Showtime do u have a file called except.txt in ur ra2 folder?

Reinstalled a driver and this seems to have solved the problem.
