During the whole issue with the WOL server going down, I found that I didn't remember how to change my password for the WOL listing of RenList. Browsing topics on here and MPF, I finally pieced it all together, but I've noticed two items that made it all very difficult for me, and may be a big stumbling block to keeping the Renegade community alive:
1. A step by step (in one place) on setting up Renegade, the latest Tiberian patches, setting up an XWIS account and then Renlist.
2. I also don't see a direct link to this: http://xwis.net/game-account/ anywhere on the site? That's where one goes to change the game password for WOL. GSA works without it, so it's not a total stop, but it's still a hindrance.
I realize that the first issue would be quite a project, however. I don't know if the second issue is deliberate for reasons unknown to me?
I am glad that talented folks are keeping it all alive and running, however.
