Hello everyone,

 

I just reinstalled recently and after finally getting the game to run, when I start a new game (online or skirmish) after about 1 minute my conyard and buildings explode and the game ends. Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

The one thing I did different during this install was change my serial key through the registry after the install because I have 2 cd's and used the wrong one to install. Is this causing it?

Niek, thank you for your condescending post.

 

You have a 15-20 person community of "active" players, you would figure this would make a guy with an 11,000 post count in a 16 year old game be helpful and not a douche but what do I know.

 

I searched, found nothing on it (most likely my wording of the issue), but started reading the posts in the support section of the forum and found the answer (my bad I posted in the wrong section).

 

To anyone who has a similar problem and stumbles across this thread: http://xwis.net/forums/index.php/topic/182716-hq-exploding/this is the answer, apparently it's to due with copy protection (I copied the game from the CD to my PC and then installed).

Try installing to a different location, like my documents
