 Finally got at least the game to run after many compatibility issues but am dying to play online. I registered here and got my nick. But when I log in it crashes my game with a "has encountered an internal error and is unable to run normally". Usually it then freezes on the "connecting to westwood" screen and i have to end task. Is this a common issue?

No it is not common. For me and for many others it is just download and play.  Where did you get ra2 from and what windows system do you have?

8.1 and I'm using the Origin version but I have original cds as well.
