How did you feel about it?

What purpose do double points serve? Seems more like a nuisance if anything.

It increased it. HOF I don't think was released for that month though. Several people got >1500pts

wrong thinking. jps0ldier aka "michel" and myself also had 1500+, not sure about a 5th person, but some1 even had 2 accs up 1500+, probably myself.

I was rank 7. I think I got to like 1490 and then lost a series vs. someone and gave up near end of month trying to get the 1500.

Because it's all about how much you play. If you play a lot and you're reasonably good then getting RaNk #1 is pretty easy unless you consistently lose to lower ranked players. Even if you're not very good you can easily get TOP10 by just playing tons of games.
 
Basically playing a full series against an opponent with equal points adds 288 or more points to the ladder.

2 bad u were banned i guess, maybe if you didnt have to cheat to win games you would've had your chance for a rank1 spot, 2 bad m8.
