I installed Red Alert 2 on my Mac using Wine Bottler Software (anybody ever hear of it or use it?)

The game works and I was able to log on online!!!! However the game was ridiculously slow and unplayable.

Is there any way around this? Am I going to have to wait til I get a Dell?...

Also Im worried this download could adversely affect my Mac...if anyone has anything positive to say about Mac's antivirus software or anything like that, that'd be great to hear too

or if they used software like WineBottler or bootcamp and their Mac remained 100% fully healthy

Depending on your system/set up virtual machines and wineskins can result in lag or other issues. To get it running without any issues your best bet is bootcamp.

So you guys have both used bootcamp without any virus issues or anything like that?
Also since I installed wine bottler, two new programs came up, Microsoft Document Connection and Remote Desktop Connection do you know of those?

They are unrelated.

Bootcamp is not a third party programme. It is made by apple for apple. I didn't encounter any issues when i used it.

Umm, get rid of WineBottler.

Just install BootCamp. You'll need a Windows XP, Vista or 7 copy for this. There's enough step-by-step information on how exactly to do it on the internet. :) It's not very hard.

Even better would be to make a separate partition on your harddrive and install windows os on there. I mean, you're gonna need to get windows os w/ bootcamp anyhow and the game will run more efficiently.
