What version of the game are you using? Origin/xwis download/ other?
I would suggest completely deleted the game directory and any ra2 files and installing: http://xwis.net/downloads/Red-Alert-2-Multiplayer.exe
And when you are running this install again ensure you are running as admin

Thank you for your tip!!! I am running on the Origin download. I have tried deleting everything - apart from the directories where can I find the other files which require deleting?
Cheers

I'm not sure where origin installs RA2 to but i think its in a Westwood folder. Just delete that folder (unless you have other Westwood games) from your C drive.
