I'm getting this error message on startup any ideas???   TXT_PREPARECOM_FAILED

Errr i think try re-running and it should work? Or run as admin

Hi Thanks for the tip - i have already tried both your suggestions - with no luck!

I sud have said i'm on windows 7 and it worked b4 but i had a system crash and had to reinstall!!!

Set compatibility mode XP SP3.

What version of the game are you using? Origin/xwis download/ other?

 

I would suggest completely deleted the game directory and any ra2 files and installing: http://xwis.net/downloads/Red-Alert-2-Multiplayer.exe

 

And when you are running this install again ensure you are running as admin

Thank you for your tip!!!  I am running on the Origin download.  I have tried deleting everything - apart from the directories where can I find the other files which require deleting?

I'm not sure where origin installs RA2 to but i think its in a Westwood folder. Just delete that folder (unless you have other Westwood games) from your C drive.

Might be easier to download the XWIS version of the game if your still having no luck.

Uninstall and remove all entry's from the registry.

Reinstall and set compatibility mode XP SP3.

If it still don't work add me on skype and ill help you get it working.
