C&C Yuri's Revenge Resolution Fix

This patch will remove resolution restrictions for Yuri's Revenge while playing on XWIS.

 

 

Instructions

 

1. Download the resolution fix (click this text).

 

2. Open the "YR-XWIS-RESOLUTION-PATCH.zip" file and copy "Yuri's Revenge.exe" and "XYR.dll" into the folder that you have installed C&C Yuri's Revenge in.

 

 

 

 

Note: When using the Yuri's Revenge Windows 8 or 10 fix this patch is already included in that download.

So I tried all resolution fixes and nothing is working correctly. The game opens, plays the video but the menu buttons do not appear. I have tried every compatibility mode and your download fixes. I'm running windows 10 on a new HP laptop. Any ideas? Its almost working but not quite!!

Download the game from XWIS, Install, apply my Windows 10 fix, should work.

 

Alternatively try downloading all directx redistributables.

I get this error when I try to copy/move the files from your zip.

 

Error 0x80004005: Unspecified Error.

 

In essence, I can't move/replace the files.

Try downloading the zip file again, sometimes they  can get corrupted during download.

You will also need to to have administrator rights to copy the files into the game directory. (in most cases).

 

I suggest using PeaZip (free) to extract the files. (run as admin to avoid issues).
