Port forwarding is useless (IMO), setting up DMZ might help.

It doesnt matter if your IP is static or dynamic.

Still asking myself why some of you people have to open ports from WAN to LAN/DMZ for ra2 or yr.

Routers and Firewalls are working stateful nowadays. -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stateful_firewall
Are you using a Router or a real Layer 2/3 Firewall?
If you are using a Homerouter, the traffic to WAN shoudln't be blocked.
If theres a Firewall in your LAN, just open the Ports from your LAN/DMZ to WAN.

Forwarding port (16000 UDP) makes it possible to play with players with bad internet for gaming (usb dongles) in GR, known with their italic nicks. I think it may help as XWIS server is using the same connection method (p2p).

It doesn't, RA2 doesn't use a fixed port.
