On every other game, I get "connecting to other players".. I'm not sure why. I have my firewall disabled whilst on XWIS, DMZ is enabled, etc, yet still I get this.

Then when it fails to connect, I get this screen:

Maybe the players you are trying to connect to? Some of the influx of new players are likely experiencing connection problems.

I get it every other game. I went to QM to check my NAT type and it says "1 good".

I get the same problem and my network configuration is optimal for multiplayer games. Just like yours.

The probable cause is the lack of configuration on most players' networks.

Yes, set up your network properly, so everything is optimal for gaming (and everything else).

As long as your network is set up as best as can be (as Frequenzy said) there isn't much else you can do. It is likely then down to the players you are trying to connect to.

in relation to this guys - when I go to QM it says my NAT is 86 (poor) - what does this refer to?

I'm always 58 fps so I thought my connection was pretty good...

NAT doesn't affect your FPS.

It affects how easily you connect to others.

That has nothing to do with my problem. Like I said, my NAT is fine and my DMZ is correctly set.
