You can dl for free from here too. http://xwis.net/downloads/Red-Alert-2-Multiplayer.exe
This dl gives you +50ish new maps + auto-SS.
Use the dl from origin to get the serial and then switch over to this ra2.

This is a legal download. XWIS is the official server after EA handed ra2 + other games to Olaf(founder of xwis) to keep running it. As you already know, origin is EA.... So technically, we're all connected. When you log into ra2 from origin, you end up on XWIS. Origin doesn't have their own server, we are the server.
Hope I made things a bit more clear for you.

Did you already get the serial key from origin?
You have win10?
If so, did you run ra2 from origin and it worked fine?

I'm assuming you didn't go online then, considering you didn't register your serial key.
If you dl ra2 from origin, you'd be given a ra2 key. Check your info. See these pics to find your serial.
Ra2 has had issues with Win 10 users. Check the support subforum. You'll find that many people have tried to fix the issue and I think some have got it to work... slightly.
also, follow rumble's video to help you get your serial registered and creating nicks so you can start playing online vs others =)

So you're telling me that you didn't have to insert no serial key anywhere and you just logged on and entered your nick on ra2 and just started playing?
I'm so confused.

I'm confused too. I'm not sure if it's because I already have the xwis version installed, but right after I downloaded & installed Origin's free version, I ran it, set the 'preferred server' to xwis, then I was online. So you're telling me that you didn't have to insert no serial key anywhere and you just logged on and entered your nick on ra2 and just started playing?
I'm so confused.
My highschool teacher was confused too years ago, but nothing to do with this game.

I get you.
What I don't get is that... well, ive always been under the impression that you need to add a serial into your game-account and create a nick from there in order to log into XWIS ra2. I guess I was wrong.
