Funny how CNCnet is advertising this on the main RA2 Facebook page (which they shouldn't even have access to) and telling people to go play on CNCnet. I guess they don't care about legalities. They aren't even allowed to own the yurisrevenge.com domain since it's trademarked name. Oh well, at least their intentions are well meant I guess.

Can anyone remember the QM reso fix? Ive tried changing the ra2.ini file but still tries to force me to change resolution back when I go qm

Isn't that already apart of the XWIS downloads? Just use Olaf's installers

so thought I would give this origin a try. seems to work fine other than the resolution. Ive tried the hires, only lets me go to 1280 and ive changed the ra2.ini which works unless i try and play a game where it says I must play in 640x480 to play a QM or custom match lol

This isn't just directed at you Marsh, but I don't think the mentality of XWIS vs CNCnet is the way forward.

 

There is no reason why XWIS and CnCnet can't work together. RA2 players can be directed to XWIS from both sides and YR players to CnCnet. Promoting from both servers for both servers can work. The people that post on that Facebook page i know are now actively going to start including XWIS in advertising posts.

Ye man thats good question. I think one issue is they cant Login on ra2 u Need xwis version of ra2 to Login without Problem and i think many ppl have Problems on win10.

Btw tomi <3 u are my favourite kosovare. In Kosovo u are more famous than JB.

I think the number of new people registering has slowed since origin started having tech issues and took the free downloads down.

 

Although, there does seem to be a gap from people registering and the activity on the forums to people actually being online.

Many people activated ra2, they just don't know how to access xwis ra2 server I believe, we are making manual video soon and gonna publish in section which the unactivated members can see, how to access xwis.

If they read the Welcome topic in the new members sub forum it really isn't too hard. A lot of people have been reading there so i don't think there would be too many people missing because of this.

 

That's not to say a video wouldn't be a good addition tho.
