I remember talking to someone about it before, there's a website dedicated to league of legends that has a section to watch streams from there itself, how hard would it be to implement something like that here?

I'll work on a subforum dedicated to streams
would be cool if we could implement an indicator to show when we are actively streaming also, Ill see if that is possible.

Maybe the current online streams can be on the front page of the ladder as a list of nicknames that people can click to start watching.

I just realized how many more people watch streams that don't even play the game. If we continue streaming and advertising xwis during the streams, I feel like more people would join.
I know of a few people who didn't even know you can play ra2 online anymore.
What if we can announce on the forums when someone's going live (not in a subforum, but at the very top of the forums) .... "Player 1 vs Player 2 Live - Josh commentary!"
I guess i'm trying to make streams priority. The more players who watch the game, the more that might want to try out the game themselves. (I think)

In the last two weeks we've seen several new players come onto the server just from gaining interest through our various streams.
It has been by far the most effective way I've seen of capturing people's attention. Streams are explanatory, interactive and given a good matchup, offer a tangible glimpse into the excitement of high level play.
I make a point to mention our server several times throughout all my streams and have recently been suggesting the creation of guest accounts and/or the prospect of being given a nickname/serial by way of community sponsorship.
A prominent link to live streams would be an excellent idea to connect interest from the stream to XWIS
Just as Edd describes it, top of the page all forums with maybe a sort of 'current info' "ticker" style news feed
Current streams, up coming tournaments, scheduled marquee matchups etc.

Yeah, so I'm not sure how they do it, but 2+2 (a prominent poker forum) has "live streams" on the right side of the page that link you to people streaming "poker"

Sean added my stream on my nick on his ladder, which I think is awesome. It seems really hidden though.
Maybe the current online streams can be on the front page of the ladder as a list of nicknames that people can click to start watching.
