Please comment below with any thoughts or feedback, but I really don't wanna hear whining about how it's "different" since that's the whole point. I realize everything isn't perfectly symmetrical or checklist equivalent house to house, but they each have their strengths. Don't expect every match to be America vs Iraq, each house has a lot of diversity
It's going to take some time to unlearn everything you know about the RA2 economy, and general unit stats; income/prices are very different, as are the power requirements of buildings (and which are unpowered). The allied houses now have a Fusion Reactor instead of Ore Purifier for example, but Tech Oil Derricks now act as purifiers, which makes them doubly attractive to capture
It's going to take a lot of rounds to become fully acclimatized to the mod, so I don't expect anyone will want to try any tournament style matchups just yet. I know the thing inside out, and it frequently catches me off guard. I have disabled/removed some things that need more work, and there's plenty more I want to accomplish, but it's 100% stable as far as I've seen, do your best
Tips:
- Get AA defenses going quickly
- Tech Airports give you Parabombs
- Stolen tech yields really good stuff
- Use your environment to your advantage
- Both sides get a spysat and paratroopers
Important notes about the AI:
Brutal and Medium are the same except for the globals that determines team sizes/delays/aggression, useful for the larger maps or maps where you economically can't keep up. On a fairly wealthy map with lots of gems or Derricks, consider playing AI on Brutal, on maps that are hard too open or lacking wealth, consider playing Medium.
Map size will also affect which setting you'll want to use. On smaller maps up to 3 players, 2 Brutal AI should make things difficult enough for anyone, but for larger 4-8 player maps, you'll likely want to drop one or more AI down to Medium. Unless you like screaming obscenities at the monitor, up to you.
Occasionally the AI players will start off slow, this is especially true on water maps, but once they get going, expect to have a tough time staying in the water with them
Good luck Commander

PS. I did make some changes to the Urban theater cliffs, this might break other non-SE maps, but every map in the lobby will be prefixed with SE: in the title. I plan to do a lot more Urban theater changes but that's a big undertaking, and not relevant to the engine/units/AI....
