Can anyone tell me how to take screen shots using windows 8? If I press print screen or ctrl-c it takes a pic of my desktop; not game play.

win8 is horrorble Windows gets more worst then easyer i also didnt figure out how take a screenshot or copy past something..

Is this the only problem you're having on W8? That's not too bad. What version of the game did you install?

Yes, I am Andrew. Was CRAZAH an old clan? haha I cant remember.

I started with my old disc. Then installed xwis version but copied everything into my original RA2 folder and deleted duplicates and original exe file. Also changed compatibility to XPs3 and resolution in game. Screen shots and switching screens are my only issues. No need to switch screens since I have 2nd computer near by. Plus is loads so fast anyway - if I HAVE to switch screens I just exit game.

Are you running Red Alert 2.exe? Are the new maps working properly?

I guess I didn't realize there was an auto ss... I came back to this game after about 10 year break. A lot's changed! Still sucks that I can't take my own ss. All maps are working fine! Like I said, I haven't noticed any other issues other than manual ss and alt-tabbing. I am running from game.exe.

It will not properly load when I use Red Alert 2.exe. Leaves me with either a black screen or no buttons.

 

Probably because of the files I have mixed and matched?

The black screen hangs for a moment on red alert 2.exe bc the game is updating the map pack. If you wait for a moment it should resume loading normally

Interesting. I have left it waiting for 20 minutes at one point as I walked away to eat dinner. How long of a moment are we talkin?

Enough to download a 13-15mb file.

Only takes 30 seconds for anything else...  I think the easiest resolution is to removed 8 and go back to 7

That'd solve everything. Thought auto SS should work in Windows 8.
