If I join an RA2 game, I can play it, without any problems.

However, if I set up a game of my own, after the other player joins in the progression bar freezes right at the start and nothing else happens until, after some time, a box with "Other System Not Responding!" appears.

This started a few days ago.

I un-installed an re-installed my game from the disc then un-installed and dowloaded the multiplayer.exe file from here (xwis) reinstalled the game and even registered here just to get a new nick - al to no avail.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks but I already know the mph.exe bit. That is OK (otherwise I wouldn't even be able to join other's games)

I only have the problem with the games that I, myself, set-up...it's superweird...

I found this before posting, but it is not very useful. He says that it stippoed but he hadn't a clue as to why...

When the problem first appeared I was running from the original disk.

I am now running from the xwis download.

Same problem.

How do you connect to the internet?

Wi-Fi, LAN Cable, 3G dongle?

Look in your ra2 folder for a file called except.txt. The problem is your router or connection.

There's no such file in my RA2 folder.

Do you have access to your router's settings?

If so, see if you can disable NAT on it.

PS : you can edit your forum signature to say "RP" to avoid typing it every single time.

Well, just like that other guy, it stopped for no apparent reason.

Everything OK now.

Thanks for your help, anyway.
