After being pressed he (possibly, I haven't verified his account) has shown reasonably that the developer intent was not to allow waypoints contingent from exiting a transport.

That does not mean contemporary gameplay warrants the technique be removed, and doing so is a matter of judgement.

A poor choice, imo.

What map was it? Upload it anyway from your maps folder/ custom and pm? Even if it was named country swing or w/e, still could be custom.

 

I had a look and it turns out he modified the map and hid some buildings outside the map next to his starting position including several oil derricks stacked on top of each other

Yeah its likely the map transferred so quickly you didn't even notice aswell.  We're hoping to address some of these sneaky map tricks in a later update.

Seeing as this message shows up, it means that clearly the developers did NOT intend it to be possible for a player to add additional waypoints to a unit that's to be inside a transport.

The fact that a player needs to release the Z key and exit wapoint mode, reselect the unit and issue additional orders with planning mode, shows that it really is bug/glitch abuse.

 

FYI Dyltard, just stating the facts, seeing as it's a forgotten practice on this site.

going on from what josh was saying, what does developer's intention have any sway on "modding" the game

you realise the developers patched the game multiple times yea? do you think maybe their intentions changed seeing as game-play flowed more smoothly with it?

you're generalising bugs and glitches and saying they all need to be "fixed" when in actuality, in some cases, you're making the game worse

Yea there's a lot of modded maps. People have made the maps to look exactly the same but some spots start with more money etc. there's one guy who will only play spot 1 and in his game because he's made it so he has more money lol

I thought there have been a decent amount of games the past few years. Plenty of 2v2cm's/competition for an old game. This month is completely dead, tho. I believe it will soon be time for clan -1- to retire. We will go down in history as the greatest clan of all time and the most dominant duo ever.   Plz don't try to debate this. Cncnet yuri's? well i just dont like yuri and they dont have normal ra2 like xwis.(yuri is just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to slow)

Cncnet doesnt look nice and doesnt feel nice.No qm,no tournement,no 1 talking,only newbs (what i have seen).

Gr people say they are  good  but when the game start's they  suck.

Thought i would play  some ra2 coz the beta of lotv has been closed,but damn its hard to get a decent game.

The time has come people the free serial didnt do shit for the activity.

Its a sad day ! Goodbye red alert 2
