Hi all,

Windows 7 Professional.

Intel Core 3GHz Processor

64-bit OS

8GB RAM

Only around 50% of games seem to be working. The game just doesn't start at the beginning resulting in a RE (wash) game. The other people say I'm not loading.

Can anyone help?

Also, my lobby is super squashed in game, any ideas on that one?

Cheers,

David

It seems if I'm the host it just results in a wash game. Making QM very annoying

It's definitely when I create the game = wash and doesn't work, when someone else creates it works.

what step's have you tried.

I would start with turning off fire wall, and running as admin

Do you have mph.exe allowed through your firewalls?

Do you connect to the internet using a router?

This is usually caused by a router issue, what kind of router you got Dave?

I have a router provided by my ISP - it's a Sky Router not a conventional name or model.

I only use AVG (free) version, which doesn't have any Firewall on.

I always have Windows Firewall:

UPDATE: Just allowed Public Connections through Windows Firewall. If this works, I'll share an update for future members

Have you tried setting up a DMZ? Use google to search for a walkthrough for your particular router or look here.

Hi mate, I'm connected wirelessly, through a laptop. My routers IP is on 192.168.0.8 and my wireless obtains the IP automatically (DHCP).

It's nothing to do with my PF settings or router. I've played for years with this setup.

I thought it may be anti-virus software disabling the mph.exe but I sorted that as well :/

Strange, the issue you describe is normally a router issue. Your router may have updated causing this problem? I would still suggest going through the above process. Are you able to use a cable rather than wireless to see if it is the router causing the issue?

Maybe Olaf can but in....

The trouble is working wirelessly I have to run on DHCP otherwise I would probably need to set some sort of VLAN up.

I'd need to have a wired connection otherwise & at the moment, I can't do that.

Maybe someone else can advise, maybe I'm wrong

No! You can configure your router to set a DMZ server on a static IP "192.168.1.200" and use the same on your pc by configuring the connection. DHCP is always enabled unless you set a static IP on your computer.

Here's a how to :https://www.google.ie/?gws_rd=cr&ei=b4bqVJTqI8a07gaonYHoDQ#q=windows+7+set+a+static+ip

Can anyone send me the mph.exe file please? (for Ra2).

I think my antivirus has blocked and deleted the mph.exe file as a Trojan Horse file and I need to put the mph.exe file back in the Ra2 folder. I think my theory is right

What precautions have you taken to stop the file from being deleted again?

What anti virus are you using?

This problem seems to occur more often than other problems. Staff should probably think about adding a link to a working mph.exe to downloads section.

Hi Olaf,

Not sure on this one. I re-installed the game, but the stripped away mph.exe file remained un-installed after a fresh install. This was probably because it was removed by my computer a a virus. But it certainly caught me out. In my opinion it's a worthwhile thing to create a troubleshoot for this, based around my experience.

Cheers,

David
