I'm sick of getting death threats on Yuri's Revenge, people say they will track me down and kill me and torture me because they have my IP Address from MPSTATS. Why is this allowed? Sick of people tracking me down and threatening. Should you change this?

you cant track someone because of his ip adress, especially not if you got a dynamic one, and even then he only has your ip adress (which he cant do much with), not your adress where you live or whatever you might think.

 

but lemme tell ya 1 thing which is way more important, these kind of people who threat you, just ignore them, because its nothing but talk. these kind of people will never touch you irl or even try to "track" you because its most likely people with some serious irl issues and being angry at the world, but all in one: no danger at all.

 

if you're really afraid of this, then you also should be afraid of walking around outside.

You should consider these threats for serious, i remember a guy who was killed because he refused to share gems with his mate.

I think you need to stay away from this game dude, too much angry nerds with knives here, too much risk to avoid.

 

Also what said Tomi is wrong, you can trace the exact location of the player with and IP, like when marsh did it and gave a google picture of the house of siralex

You can also use Wireshark  to grab IP addresses from people you are playing in-game.
