Hi, I may have asked this before but my problem wasn't solved. Ill start with this.
I have windows vista, and I run red alert 2 through Command and conquer: The first decade. I've downloaded the patch a few times for the new maps ( Heck RVR, Yellowstone, etc etc etc,) the patch seems to be only effective immediately after I download it. When I start up Red alert 2 again, the patch is ineffective. I've been told to re-install my game and I won't need a patch. Will this work with the first decade? What steps do I need to do in order to keep this patch effective? Any answers I'd really appreciate. Thanks

its built in to the xwis ra2 now

to use the new maps please install this copy of ra2

if you don't want to interrupt your current installation, just install the xwis ra2 to a completely different location and folder. Then when you want to use the new maps, load the xwis ra2 from its folder by launching "red alert 2.exe"
