I have a question:

 

So, we have a great Hall of fame system, but what the heck is happening to the old nicknames/clans?

 

For example, in the hall of fame: http://xwis.net/yr/hall-of-fame/

if you go back midway, and try clicking on some profiles, they are nearly all deleted/gone/vanished.

 

My question is why does this happen? When not preserve some of the older nicknames and 'retire' them so they show up in the badges/hall of fame profile section such as: http://xwis.net/yr/players/amityvill/

 

Why did most of them get deleted?

Not a clue why they get deleted, but I know that they can be remade and sometimes they do, along with the awarded badges.

I once made the clan 'fury' and it had a HOF badge for TS attached to it.

Yes, the remaking of clans/old nicknames for the hof badges attached them is comical. But it is weird not seeing clans like Oktron and auf in the HOF list.

Nicks are (soft) deleted after 3 years of inactivity. They're then fully deleted after 3 more years. Clans are deleted after all members have left.

why not make an exception for hof accounts? isnt it possible or too much of work?

 

its kinda annoying to see people remake rank 1 accounts and pretending to be them/attained them

Don't delete nicks and don't stop playing.

i dont delete them nicks, but i cant be playing on my 100 rank 1 accounts

can we still login with nicks that aren't on our control panel? I remember using trippy / sammo sometime last year but haven't been able to use them since i bought a new p.c and i'm not sure if its whether i've just forgotten my password to them or some other reason.

Both of those nicks still appear to be active. Neither are tied to your account but, you should still be able to log into them.

hmm, I tried logging in with a nick on my game account using the wrong password and received the "invalid password etc" line once in lobby but with trippy / sammo all I get is "create account at xwis.net/ga" regardless of what password I use.
