cannot get windowed mode to work.

Have tried -win in the target line.  It either does nothing or says there is a error in the line.

 

Made a shortcut for RA2 alone.

 

Windows 8 and first decade edition.

 

Any suggestions?

Im going to give you 3 good reason.

 

1- You are the "HeadMaster" of this community

2- You have people who helps you as far as i know with the comunity without a nickle.

3- You and your Supporters are called to give support to the new people.

 

Cant handle it? Well, then you should close xwis. But remember you will ruin people lifes like matts life who played +-600Ranked matches and didnt get hofs.

but olaf gets my nerves everytime he makes a post like that.

 

 

Dear olaf let me show you the last time i did somthing for xwis, what you did to counter it.

 

 

Here i made a post to new/old players who didnt know how to download/install the xwis patch here

and 2 month after that you actually merged the game with the patch so no more downloads.

 

So do your job by deleting my post or put the Xwis patch back into download thread.

Maybe I'm missing something. I'd take it as a complement personally; you pointed out a nuance and Olaf moved to reprimand it. Your topic was also pinned in the Support thread - showing support from staff.

IMO, it doesn't matter who creates the topic. We should be working together to provide a better experience for everyone. Holding off on either side only hurts potential new players... :(

You could post more information regarding your problem, such as the game version, where you got it from and what operating system you are using.

 

IMO there should still be a patch download for people using the CD version, so they wouldn't have to download the 'big' client.

I also think the same, thats why i replied this topic, but then olaf got my nerves talking to me like i owe him something, In my earlier post i said some admin do it cuz i dont know much about this and it will be a waste of time for me and for the community if i writte something dump. I really dont want to be mean to anyone but Matt.....

I have never found a working solution to windowed mode - using third party software was next on my list of things to attempt...

 

I use windows 7 64bit with dvd First decade or old original cd versions of the game

 

 

Doesnt work on my set up - may work on yours if you have 16 bit capabilities (xp):

 

 

changing your resolution from 32bit to 16bit? If you have XP. right click the desktop click properties, go to the settings tab and change

 

Run  compatibility > run in 256 colors.

 

 

add -win at the end of your ra2 shortcut's target line.

 

 

- Start > Run > "C:/Westwood/RA2/YURI.exe -win"     )
