Hi! I am trying to play Red Alert 2 Yuris Revenge over XWIS and whenever i get into game it says limited screen resolution to 640 x 480 and if i click no to change resolution i cant join my friends game.

 

Second problem is whenever we actually do get into game with 640 x 480 resolution every move is delayed by 2 seconds.

 

I downloaded ra2 + ra2 yuris revenge from downloads section here.

 

Steps to recreate:

 

1: Download RA2 Multiplayer and install it

2: Download RA2 Yuris Multiplayer and install it

3: Open ra2yuri

4: Click internet

5: Login and click custom game

6: Cick create game

7: Start game

8: Huge lags with 2 second delay + 640 x 480 screen resolution forced.

 

 

Any ideas? I really want to play with my friend and avoid pirating the game.

1) About the 640x480 resolution, i really don't know....
2) The 2 seconds delay is due to connection speed. You must have a strong connection to decrease the delay.

I would suggest that you check for updates for your PC. Namely Windows and hardware drivers.

 

What I suspect is wrong is...

 

1. Poorly installed or very old graphics drivers.

2. Out of date operating system, lacking directx updates.

3. Your network is really slow ( for some reason I doubt that ).

If after reading and following those guides the problem persists then post your system hardware/software details with what the addition of what you've already tried to remedy to the issue.

The 640 X 480 problem is caused by a bug in the XWIS version of YR. This issue will be resolved as soon as possible.

The 2 second delay is not my internet or my pc. I have 100/100 and so does the guy im trying to play with and he is lagging aswell. I reformated my pc about 1 month ago so everything is new and freshly installed. I am experiencing 0 lags on other games.
