Whens the best time of the day GMT for qms. Sometimes it goes for hours without finding anybody. If the CM lobbies are full does that mean theres a good chance the QMs will be too?

if amount of player > 70 the its a good time.

 

And you can always go to the lobby and lure some Qm

 

In order to lure some Qms with newbies use a nick with rank +- 150

In order to lure some Qms with Profs      use a nick with +- 300 points.

I have only one nick and dont plan on buying another one. Although can you make 2 from one serial?

What I used to do for top ten qming on YR is..

Add the people from qm that you meet frequently, into your buddy list.(for yr it was only top ten players because not a lot of people had enough points to match)
That way when you log on you can check your buddy list real quick and see if any Qmers are on.

at the moment i keep getting paired up with 1 player. He is clearly much better than me and has already beaten me several times, so naturally i want to avoid him/her until I get better but I can't seem to connect to anyone else, there's over 70 players online right now and surely there can't be just one other player in QM?

Best way to get better is to play better players. What keeps happening? out tanked? rushed?

He was usually Soviets and even when I was Soviets too, I just couldn't match him with tanks. He used a mix of conscripts and rhinos to rush me early and always had at least a few more than me. I felt that he was skipping some buildings or ore miners to go straight for rhinos. But you're right I shouldn't shy away from playing him.

Check this for what! If you think it's a cheater then post in cheat reports, but read "how to report a cheater" pinned topic first!

On topic : if you think it's a small map then try going 0 or one miner from your war factory and keep building refineries
